50th INFANTRY BATTALION AMBUSHED TWICE

50th Infantry Battalion was successfully ambushed twice by Alfredo Cesar Command of the NPA (New People's Army) in Ilocos Sur in 1st and 2nd of May. A total of 7 soldiers were killed in the ambushed. The AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) tried to conceal their casualties. 

7 soldiers were killed and 8 soldiers were wounded on the attack on the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines). 1st of May 2014, 3 soldiers died and 2 were wounded when they were ambushed in Remedios, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur. It is less than a kilometre away from the Army Headquarters. 

2nd of May 2014, Reinforcing troops also belonging to the 50th Infantry Battalion were ambushed in Barangay Malideg, Quirino Ilocos Sur. 4 soldiers were killed and 6 were badly wounded. NPA (New People's Army) units were able to draw safely without any casualties. 

50th Infantry Battalion had numerous war crimes including illegal arrests and detention, torture, various forms of harassment, intimidation, and sexual abuse on women of Abra, Mountain Province, and Benquet since 2001. They are destroying the livelihood the people in the areas. 

2005 to 2011, Villages in Tubo Abra were on a yearly arbituray aerial bombing and strafing. Operating Troops headed by Leiutenant Avila beheaded the corpse of Ka Cholo who died in the battle in 2008. In the recent times, 2 women were raped by the 50th Infantry Battalion Stationed in Dilong, Tubo. 

50th Infantry Battalion was also under the payroll and in cahoots with the Mining Company LCMC (Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company) in Mankayan Benquet. 50th Infantry Battalion also beheaded Benny "Ka Likot" Aguilar who died in the second battle in Sitio Bulaga, Barangay Aluling. It became a security for the LCMC (Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company) as it gets into a more destructive mining destroying the enviroment around it. They dumped Toxic Wastes into the Abra River which flows through Cervantes and Quirino. 

In the most recent times, Freeport Mcmoran Phlephs Mining exploration project was made and they served as Security. May 2013, A drilling Machine belonging to LCMC (Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company) was burned by the NPA (New People's Army) in Mankayan. The Drilling Machine of Freeport McMoran Phelphs Dodge Mining Company was also burned and destroyed in Patiacan, Quirino. 

50th Infantry battalion had served as their security and had something to do with the opression of the people and letting these Mining Companies destroy the environment.
