PHILIPPINE IMPORTS FELL DRAMATICALLY

Philippine Imports dropped dramatically due to internal problems within the BOC (Bureau of Customs) especially in their management and their personnel. China was one of the leading importers in the Philippines but due to the Philippine misclaims of the spratlys. The Chinese government held an embargo of goods thus decreasing the Import Revenue of the Philippines. 

As for Electronics, it dropped dramatically by 22.1 % based on NSO statistics. Mineral fuels considered Philippine's Second's largest import also dropped by 24.3 %. Machines and Equipments Philippine's third largest imports increased from last year. 

Among the other major importers are United States, and Japan. But United States had lower imports by 7% from last year due its downgrading economy.
