FORD CAR PRODUCTION PLANT TO BE SHUT DOWN IN THE PHILIPPINES

Ford is recalling 539,000 units of cars and thus decides to shut down its plant in the Philippines after the losing its profitable edge. There had been car parts shortages after Japan was hit heavily by the Tsunami. It also devastated the Japanese Economy and its ability to supply Ford and Toyota with parts. 

Most of the defective units were recalled by the Ford Company due to its inability to replace them due to lack of supply. By the year 2010, Mercury Brand was stopped being produced.
