LEE KUAN YEW: THE STORY OF A DISCIPLINARIAN AND A SUCCESS

There was one man I had long admired since my days as a young teenager. I had always dreamt to be like like him and to have the success of being like him. But as I grow up I was soon realizing I am living in a country infested with ignorance, dirty places, people knows nothing but sex, women, and ,money. Similar to a place he grew up century before. Singapore a century ago was infested with prostitutes, dirty and health and living standards is grimm, and government politics is worst. 

I learnt so much from my past experiences of doing so many things but in the end I ended up achieving nothing. I learnt so many things from a great man I had admired since I had the mindset of what is right and what is wrong. I would really like to apply the disciplines, the stern lifestyle, and the dedication of Mr. lee Kuan Yew for the development and success of Singapore from the third world to the first world. He was one of the wisest and most successful men in my life. 

I want my life, my business to become Singapore.

A journey from having a frugal and poor life to one of the most successful business tycoon in Asia. I want to become Singapore myself. An Image of Success and Progress through development, discipline, and actual application of Business and life wisdom. 

Lee Kuan Yew was the prime Minister who brought Singapore to what it is today. No one would expect Lee Kuan Yew would be leading Singapore for such wonderful Sweet Success as it was today. 

 Lee Kuan Yew had his Singapore and I have my news press. Though a business for me is like a small nation it takes a lot of dedication, self confidence, bravery. and hard work to become a success.

Lee Kuan Yews greatest achievement: 

1. As a PAP member and his vision of Singapore

When Singapore was abandoned by Malaysia, it was penniless, and the state was plaqued with unhealthy living conditions, the population is hungry, and immoral, and it was a run down place in the South east Asia region. 

He even cried and he knew there are troubles ahead because Singapore at those times regardless of a new government was poor and penniless. A state without any money at all is doomed based on what others believed and it wont survive. But Lee Kuan Yew prove them wrong. He implemented programs that make Singapore great again. 

He had three major programs as Prime Minister and member of PAP, National Security, The Economy, and the Social Issues.  

2. The Singaporean Economy

Lee Kuan Yew knows if he had no plans of improving the economy, then nothing will happen if ten years had already passed by. Lee Kuan Yew borrowed money from the United Nations and thus used the Money to modernized its best asset. The Port of Singapore. It had been one of the significant ports in South East Asia. Before you can reach Manila, Jakarta, and Hong Kong you must reach Singaporean Port for a stop over. 

To attract more investors he modernized and invested heavily on the ports, its economic uses, and Singapore's exports.

In Several years time, Singapore economy grew because he himself and his administration watch over the programs and campaigns everyday. Making sure all the things that should be done and delayed.

3. Social Issues

He strictly imposed heavy and capital punishments for those who dared to oppose his rules and policies. From being fined heavily to imposing death penalty to those who have been caught disobeying the stern and disciplinary rules of the government. 

But he wasn't 100 percent authoritian. He provided people with housing, improved health and living conditions by providing yearly medical assistance to the Singaporeans. During his time drugs were rampant so he puts a heavy Capital punishment to them death. Just like what China has for serious and heinous crimes. 

He had his share of greatness during those times. But my instances, my time, and what seems applicable is different for me. I cannot just merely imitate and walk on someone shadows. Cause not all instances are the same but there something good we can learn from others. Lee Kuan Yew is one of my best idols and inspirations as a person, a progressive leader, and as a disciplinarian.
