SLUMS AND INFORMAL SETTLERS MUST MOVE OUT OF INTRAMUROS

Intramuros Administration had a new project and that is cleansing Intramuros walls and its streets of Informal settlers and making it clean for tourists coming to the Philippines for a visit. The problem of Informal settlers had been around since the early 1990s when the Ramos Administration was still in power. 

At first there were only one or two houses but when they knew they were ignored, their (informal settlers) numbers grew by two folds thus creating a problem in Intramuros. Foreign tourists had been commenting on the current situation of the Philippine Tourism and how they see these slums within the Historic City of Manila itself. This gave them a negative image of the Philippines especially in Intramuros. 

So as a solution, the Intramuros administration is planning and executing of moving out the informal settlers out of the Intramuros Historic site.
