THE START OF THE FILIPINO SUFFERING IN TERMS OF ENERGY SECTOR AND FUEL SECTOR

There was a time in the Philippine Society when Electricity and Fuel was one of the affordable sector in the Philippines. It was the time Marcos and previous Democratic was still in control of the Utilities that gives power to the Filipino People. 

Meralco (Manila Electric Company) was not yet Meralco then when it was created. It was created by an American in 1928 to power up The Philippines. The first power plants considered small scale was located in NCR (National Capital Region), and Cebu. They are the very first power plant in the Philippines. The American Founder had also created the first radio station in the Phlippines in 1924.

During the Commonwealth after the death of the Founder, It was transferred to the Control of the Commonwealth Government run by the Manuel L Quezon. Though a Puppet of the US Government in the Philippines. 

Philippines as time goes by has the most cheapest and most affordable energy all over Asia. 

At those times It is only at least .01 Cents per Kwh. It is in Philippine Peso. It was highly subsidized by the Philippine Commonwealth and It was able to power the Entire Philippine Archipelago. No Raising of prices, no more alibis, and no more others. The Philippine Commonwealth and the Philippine Democratic Government at those times are not greedy yet though not that much.  

The Strong and Cheap Energy in the Philippines 

(under Marcos Regime from 1968-1986)

During the Marcos Regime, although there is a Hike of Population in terms of Number of FIlipino People he still insisted to provide a cheap, affordable, and ample energy to all households and companies during his time. 

There was no problem in terms of Prices and in terms Utilities. 

The Price is still .01 Cents per Kwh (Kilowatt Hour). There are no blackouts nor no power shortage at those times. Up until his last years in Power in 1986. Oil and Fuel is at P1 (One) Peso per Gallon. You can fuel your cars for 2 months for only P5 (Five). 

The Start of the Nightmare 

(The Cory Aquino Administration 1986-1992)

The Start of the Nightmare started during the rule of Cory Aquino after the fall of Marcos. Corrupted Democratic Officials stolen Wealth from the Filipino people and Cory Aquino had a problem with problems on finances. 

Instead of taking from the Stolen Ill Gotten wealth of the Democratic Officials like Binay and others. She heeded and listened to the Advice of the Corrupted Officials of the Philippine Democratic Government and sold Manila Water (Maynilad) and Meralco (Meralco/Manila Electric Company) to Capitalists to get finances. 

Little did she know there are secret and hidden collaboration with the Capitalists and her Democratic Officials. There are cuts and kick backs from the sale of such. That is the Start of the Nightmare for the Filipino People. 

As she stepped down and transferred the power to another, It continued to rise and rise at the benefit of the Capitalists.  She sold it to the Lopez Family and sold it to another shares of stock holders.
