QUEEN SOFIA OF SPAIN VISITS THE PHILIPPINES

Queen Sofia is the wife of the current Spanish King and visits the Philippines for the fifth time around since 1995. President Noynoy Aquino is preparing a warm welcome party for the Spanish monarch upon her arrival in 2nd of July 2012.

Queen Sofia's state visit was to promote and improve relations between the Philippines and Spain. The visit of the Spanish monarch was 1995, 1998, 2000, and 2003. This is the fifth time she visited the Philippines to boost Spanish and Philippine ties.
