GABRIELA SEEKS AMENDMENT IN ANTI-RAPE

Gabriela  party list representative Emmi de Jesus  have filed House bill 6170 in Congress for the amendment of the Anti rape Law which was made in 1997. They are seeking more clarity on instances and situations are basis for charging rape charges. 

Based on the law makers, a nonconsensual sex committed through fraudulent machination, grave abuse of authority, and as with the use of force or physical violence. Based on the new amendments, video recordings acts of sexual abuse and discreminating tghe record material an aggravating circumstances of  the offense. This is due to the case of the Las Pinas University student when she was drugged and raped by a group of young men studying with the same university as hers. There was a video spread through the internet  it is considered a crime. 

Such acts is currently not part of the previous Anti Rape law made last 1997 on Congress.
