PHILIPPINE SUGAR PRICES RISES

Sugar Prices in the Philippines rose up due to market condition of sugar in the Philippine Market. The was P6 (Six pesos) per kilogram. Based on DTI (Department of Trade and Industry), they will set a probe investigation for such spike hike of price.
Products, beverages, and food that has sugar content has the possibility of having a chain reaction. DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) chief Maglaya confirmed the spike hike form P44 (forty four pesos) to P50 (fifty pesos). She requested SRA (Sugar regulatory Board) to submit to her a report why such prices spiked hike rapidly.
Based on local Correspondence Jun Legazpi, She ( Chief Maglaya) said," That’s why we have to go all the way back to the mill. We want to know what the mill gate prices are and what are the costs added by traders so we can find out exactly where and what are the triggers"
