SURVIVING TOURISM INDUSTRY

Tourism is one of the most luxurious and most sure shot industry in the Philippines. It depends on the certain country's economic, political, and social stability. As we can see countries who faced backlash like the United States, Great Britain, and the other western nations are facing major tourism problems. We all know that tourism is one of the major industry in a nation. 

Based on my opinions and actual scientific research of the tourism industry, this are the three basic factors that affect the tourism industry of any nation of earth. Based on the research I made, the most traveled nations in Asia are here on the top ten list. 

1. China (People's Republic of China)

2. Singapore

3. Hong Kong (China) 

4. Japan

5. South Korea

6. Malaysia

7. Vietnam

8. Indonesia

9. Thailand

10. Philippines

United States of America is one of the best example of a depreciating tourism. Since the image and the reputation of the Americans had been tampered for its military bullying and unequal trade deals. For its military invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan, and other nations who opposed its imperialistic viewpoint. Since then the Americans are known to be invaders. Especially the leaked knowledge of US sending its spies to other lands like Asia, Europe, and Australia. Eyes(spy agencies like CIA, Homeland Security, and others) like this are not very good to hear when it comes to the reputation and  no one likes to be watched all the time. So this brings the Asians, the Arabian, and Africans an irritation to the Americans and lost interests in visiting the imperialistic state.

Another factor that affects the tourism industry is the heaviness of the expenditures in the part of the tourists. Like United States and Small island nation of Japan, visiting their nations costs twice or thrice the expenditures. Just by visiting Japan alone for only a week it would cost a foreign tourist P150,000 in package, plane ticket, and hotel accomodations alone.This doesn't include the souvinier items that a foreign tourist would buy to bring home to their own countries. Japan is one of the most expensive tourist destinations in Asia. 

The third factor that affects tourism is the safety and security of the foreign or local tourist alike.  If the he doesn't feel safe in a said country he wouldn't come and fly to that said nation. Safety and security is also in direct relations with political and economic stability. The best example is the Philippine Government which is weak, and frailing. Remember the Luneta Hostage where Hong Kong tourists were abducted and held hostage and shot abruptly. This affected the reputation of the Philippines as a nation where it can safeguard the Safety of the foreign and local tourist alike.

This proves tourism is one of the major industries that gives jobs and others to many local folks in many nations especially to the third world countries. So tourism lives so is the countries' hope for higher income.
