57th INFANTRY BATTALION AND PNP AMBUSHED IN NORTH COTABATO

57th Infantry Battalion and PNP (Philippine National Police) were ambushed by the NPA (New People's Army) in President Roxas in North Cotabato. Democratic Mayor Jaime Mahimpit was with the armed convoy when they were ambushed in the President Roxas Road. 

NPA (New People's Army) threw explosives at 14 Policemen in the convoy and the military aboard the 6 x6 truck. The ambushed wounded SPO4 Hector Castillo, PO3 Jomer Illagan, and PO2 Joselax Avena. 57th Infantry Battalion had a triad operation in Roxas, Magpet, and Arakan town following its turnover of Makilala and Tulunan towns to 39th Infantry battalion. 

This is contrary to the reports that Mayor Mahimpit is the target. The real target is 57th Infantry Battalion. Out of cowardice, the soldiers hid under the blanket of civilian Cover. They use Civilians and Civilian Officials for its forward deployment operations. 

When PNP and AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) wants to enter NPA (New People's Army) areas, they pretend to be local escorts for local officials but their true objective was combat and oppressed the people. 

NPA (New People Army) warned the local officials to cease from involving themselves and participating in the military operations. They should focus instead on Civilian duties and shun from military activities.
